Ok....switching to privat channels wud do the trick(as some of my frends wud advic) . but it wud hav a cascading effect on my economy which is already scaling new heights due to Double- Digit inflation.

buyin a set-top box costs Rs 5000/  in addition u hav 2 pay monthly rents 4 d channels u watch.Having a broadband connection(4 my blogs!) and its bills , makes sure dat DTH remains a distant reality at least 4 now.

ok.. asuming inflation lowers significantly,my dad starts 2 earn better and we can well afford to install DTH , one road-block dat wud still spoil d show would definitely be my sister being an avid Tv viewer. to top it all she has crucial years of her academic career lined up. So like any other responsible parent, my father would not buy a set-top box to wreak havoc with my sister's career.

but the best part is => he has no qualms whatsoever  in havin the doordarshan channel beamed to my TV (unfortunately..without any loss of signal strength though..!!). because my sister wud never tak d 'risk' of switching on the tv and being caught upfront with an embarasing Ad or a stupid(my view) serial!!this way she has none of her Tv woes and wud study well n perform better.

But poor me, who wants 2 njoy  vacations to d fullest after 'sweating it out'  4 one year at an engineering college, Im left to the mercy of these channels.since i hav no other option , Im startin to consider myself ' socially underpriviligd' to my frends who get to watch privat channels and quit often wonder that as a guy lookin 4 some entertainment n masala, am i being offered justice ..!!

So as u guys read this article and express sympathy 4 me , I would be cosying up to the sofa, 'treating' myself to a daily dose of 'fret'-ainment..!!

Anyway....my life goes on as usual..........
